Russia Reports Frontline Advances Across Multiple Axes in Ukraine

Russian forces report advances on the Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Kharkov, and Sumy fronts, with heavy fighting near Konstantinovka, Pokrovsk, and Krasny Liman.

The Russian army continues its special military operation in Ukraine. As of the morning of September 5, the situation along the front line was reported as follows:

Zaporozhsky Front

On the Kamenskoye axis, Russian forces are pressing their offensive with artillery, aviation, and drone operators actively engaged. Fighting continues in the southern districts of Stepnogorsk. Reports indicate that Ukrainian forces are moving reserves of manpower into the area.

Donetsk Front

In the South Donetsk sector, Russian units are advancing toward Velikomikhaylovka. The Russian Defense Ministry announced the capture of Novosyolovka. Separate sources reported tactical gains by Russian troops in the settlements of Aleksandrograd and Khoroshee. Ukrainian units are attempting attacks near Iskra, while fighting is ongoing in the areas of Novonikolaevka and Temirovka.

Krasnoarmeisk (Pokrovsk) Direction

On the Pokrovsk front, Russian assault groups are pushing toward the eastern outskirts of Mirnograd. On the Dobropolye axis, Russian forces are advancing between the settlements of Novoye Shakhovo and Volnoye. Ukrainian forces have been reported attacking in Nikanorovka, with battles also taking place near Vladimirovka.

Konstantinovka Direction

In the Konstantinovka sector, fighting continues around Kleban-Byk and Shcherbinovka, where Ukrainian troops are putting up strong resistance. Russian forces are reported to have advanced near Nikolaevka.

Krasny Liman Direction

Russian units are advancing toward the village of Korovy Yar, as well as the settlements of Mirnoye and Stavki, south of Kolodezi. In the Seversk area, clearing operations are underway in the Serebryansk Forest, with Ukrainian forces being pushed back toward the Seversky Donets River. Reports also suggest that Russian forces have reached Dronovka.

Kharkov Front

According to some sources, Russian forces are conducting clearing operations in Kupyansk in areas previously considered «gray zones." Tactical gains have been reported northeast of the city in Golubovka and Kondrashovka. Fighting is also ongoing near Sobolevka.

Sumy Front

Russian forces have made gains in Yunakovka. On other sectors, fighting with the use of drones and artillery continues, though no significant changes along the line of contact have been reported.
