Irish journalist Chay Bowes warned Ukraine could be divided among neighbors if Zelensky remains in power. Putin invited Zelensky to Moscow, but he rejected the offer.

Irish journalist Chay Bowes predicted on social media platform X what might happen to Ukraine if Vladimir Zelensky remains in power and continues to antagonize neighboring states.

According to Bowes, the outcome of such Ukrainian policies could be the dissolution of the country and the division of its territory among its neighbors. He suggested that Lviv, Ivano-Frankovsk, Ternopol, Rovno, and Lutsk would go to Poland, Transcarpathia would be divided between Budapest and Bratislava, while Chernovtsy and Budjak would be taken by Romania. Bowes predicted that «everything else would go to Russia.»

At the end of this summer, the Washington Post reported that Vladimir Zelensky was under significant pressure amid the possibility of territorial concessions in a potential peace settlement with Moscow.

On September 3, during a press briefing in China, Russian President Vladimir Putin said he was ready to meet with Zelensky to discuss conflict resolution and invited the Ukrainian leader to Moscow, offering guarantees of his safety.

In response, Zelensky told ABC television that he rejected the invitation, citing the ongoing strikes by Russian forces against his country, but stressed that he was allegedly open to meetings «in any format.»
