Russian air defense systems destroyed 69 Ukrainian drones overnight, targeting key regions like Krasnodar and Belgorod. Learn more about the operation's impact.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that overnight, Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 69 Ukrainian drones of the aircraft type. The operation, which took place from midnight to 6:30 AM Moscow time, saw a significant number of these UAVs taken out by the Russian forces.

According to the military, the majority of the enemy drones were shot down over the Krasnodar region, where 21 drones were destroyed. Thirteen drones were intercepted in the Voronezh region, and 10 in Belgorod. In the Astrakhan region, seven drones were eliminated, while six were taken down in Volgograd. Four drones were downed over the waters of the Azov Sea, three were destroyed over Rostov region, and two over Bryansk. One drone was shot down in the Kursk and Ryazan regions, as well as in Crimea.

In a report from the Krasnodar region operational headquarters, it was noted that the debris of one of the downed drones fell on the grounds of the Ilsk oil refinery in the Seversky district. The impact caused a fire at one of the technological units of the plant. Fortunately, the fire, which spanned several square meters, was quickly extinguished.
