Russian Forces Advance Near Yampol and Push South of Seversk

Russian troops advanced near Yampol, taking positions in forestry areas and pushing toward Dronovka and Serebryanka, while also securing ground south of Seversk.

According to war correspondent Yuri Kotenok, Russian forces of the «South» grouping have broken through Ukrainian defenses near Yampol from the direction of Torskoye. He reported that Russian troops secured positions in the area of the Yampol forestry and a nearby ostrich farm.

Kotenok explained that control of Yampol is essential for securing the flanks along the Krasny Liman and Seversk fronts and for enabling further advances toward Slavyansk.

He also noted that Russian units pushed forward toward Dronovka and are clearing Ukrainian positions north of Serebryanka, on the northern bank of the Seversky Donets River. Fighting continues on the western outskirts of Serebryanka as well as on high ground to the west and south near local ponds.

South of Seversk, Russian forces advanced into the settlements of Pereezdnoye and Fedorovka. Heavy clashes are also ongoing in the wooded areas near Vyemka.
