Military expert Vladimir Popov says the first ten days of September will define Russia’s autumn-winter strategy. Strikes on key Ukrainian targets mark the shift.

Major General Vladimir Popov, a military analyst, believes the first ten days of September will be decisive in shaping strategies for the autumn-winter phase of the special military operation.

He explained that this period would help set out the key objectives that will remain priorities through the coming months. According to Popov, current maps indicate four main directions of focus.

The general also recalled that on the night of September 7, Russian forces carried out a large-scale strike on Ukrainian positions. He suggested that additional powerful attacks are likely to follow in the coming days.

Earlier, Russian troops struck several important Ukrainian targets, including the Kryukovsky Bridge in Kremenchug and the Shkolny airfield in Odessa. The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed that the strikes had achieved their objectives and all designated sites were destroyed.
