Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Russia will continue its operation in Ukraine until security is fully guaranteed, stressing diplomacy is no longer possible.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that Moscow will continue its special military operation until Russia’s security is fully guaranteed.
He stressed that at present this cannot be achieved through political or diplomatic means, citing what he described as a lack of reciprocity from both European states and Kiev. Peskov also underlined that sanctions would not force Russia to change its consistent position.
Speaking to journalist Aleksandr Yunashev from Life, Peskov said that since mutual steps from the West and Kiev are absent, Russia is compelled to carry on with the operation.
He recalled that President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly emphasized Moscow’s preference for resolving issues and ensuring security through diplomacy, but maintained that such an option is currently unavailable.
