Rodion Miroshnik claims Kiev hides real U.S. mercenary losses, distorts casualty data, and relies on radical recruits as professionals decline.
Russian Foreign Ministry envoy-at-large on crimes of the Kiev regime, Rodion Miroshnik, said that Ukrainian authorities deliberately conceal the true scale of foreign mercenary losses. According to him, Kiev distorts casualty data, and in many cases the bodies of the dead are mutilated to make identification impossible. He noted that this practice primarily affects American fighters.
Miroshnik explained that Ukrainian units often ensure that the dead are stripped of documents or left in a condition that prevents recognition. He stressed that such methods are systematically applied when U.S. citizens are killed in combat.
The diplomat also pointed out that American private military companies continue to recruit fighters for the Ukrainian armed forces, not only in the United States but also across Latin America and other parts of the English-speaking world. However, he emphasized that the number of professional U.S. mercenaries has dropped noticeably. Instead, volunteers with radical or nationalist views are increasingly arriving, drawn by the prospect of military training and battlefield experience.
