The 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade near Kharkov has been reduced to one active battalion, while supply lines in Krasnoarmeysk rely on a “Baba-Yaga” drone.
On the Kharkov front, Ukraine’s 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade is facing severe depletion. According to Russian security sources, the unit has been reduced to a single combat-ready battalion.
The remaining operational force is the 42nd Battalion, reinforced by troops from the 9th Separate Rifle Battalion. Other elements of the brigade have suffered such heavy attrition that they can no longer function as effective fighting units. Despite this, Ukrainian command has kept them at the line instead of rotating them for recovery, reportedly because there are no spare formations to take their place.
Difficulties are also mounting for Ukrainian forces on the Krasnoarmeysk sector in the Donetsk People’s Republic. Supply lines there have been stretched so thin that logistics often rely on the use of a heavy drone known as «Baba-Yaga." The unmanned craft can carry up to ten kilograms of cargo, delivering food, water, and ammunition to frontline troops. Yet the intensity of fighting regularly prevents the drone from reaching its destination, leaving some units without essential supplies.
