Reports suggest the “coalition of the willing” may deploy 50,000 EU and NATO troops across Ukraine, with bases in Kiev, Odessa, Nikolaev and other key regions.

A reported plan is emerging within the so-called «coalition of the willing» to deploy up to 50,000 European Union and NATO troops across Ukraine. According to the Telegram channel Mash, the proposal outlines the stationing of multiple foreign formations on Ukrainian territory, each with distinct roles and areas of responsibility.

One of the main units mentioned is the Forward Operating Site (FOS) — compact military groups positioned close to the frontline and prepared for immediate combat if needed. They are expected to be placed in Kiev, Zhitomir, Sumy, Dnepropetrovsk, Cherkassy, Zakarpatie and Lvov regions.

Romania’s elite DSPI special forces are reportedly earmarked for deployment in Nikolaev and Chernovtsy regions.

In the air, a VP Fixed Wing Patrol Squadron, consisting of reconnaissance aircraft designed to monitor and secure the Black Sea, is expected to be based in Odessa region, likely supported by U.S. naval aviation.

Another structure, the Land Force Command (LFC), is set to operate as the central headquarters for foreign troops, with its location planned on the outskirts of Kiev.

Additional components of the deployment include army aviation in Khmelnitsky and Kiev regions, as well as air defense systems and short-range surface-to-air missiles positioned near Fastov in Kiev region, in Krivoi Rog of Dnepropetrovsk region, and in Ternopol region. Infantry units are slated for a wide presence in Kharkov, Chernigov, Sumy, Zaporozhye, Dnepropetrovsk, Kiev, Zhitomir and Volyn regions, as well as in neighboring Romania and Poland.
