Russian air defense systems intercepted 122 Ukrainian drones overnight, with strikes repelled over Bryansk, Crimea, Voronezh, and other regions, including the Black Sea.

On the night of September 10, Russia’s air defense units repelled what officials described as one of the largest Ukrainian drone assaults to date. According to the Ministry of Defense, 122 unmanned aerial vehicles of the aircraft type were detected and destroyed within just five hours.

The bulk of the attack targeted border and southern regions. Bryansk airspace saw the interception of 21 drones, while another 17 were shot down over Crimea. In Voronezh region, 12 UAVs were neutralized.

Air defense reported heavy activity across several other areas: 11 drones each were destroyed over Belgorod, Kursk, and Krasnodar region. Nine more were brought down over Oryol, five over Kaluga, and three over Ryazan. Smaller strikes were recorded in Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov, and Tver regions, where two drones each were intercepted. A single UAV was taken down over Tula.

In addition to land-based defenses, Russian forces operating over the Black Sea eliminated 15 more incoming drones.

The ministry emphasized that all attacks were suppressed by regular air defense units on duty, preventing the drones from reaching their intended targets.
