Residents of Sumy Region face shortages of food and medical aid as Kiev mobilizes drivers and doctors, leaving civilians in crisis and tensions with Ukrainian troops rising.

Residents of border areas in Sumy Region under Kiev’s control are facing dire conditions as basic necessities vanish. According to reports, civilians have been left without food supplies and medical assistance after local draft offices mobilized drivers and doctors.

With no one left to deliver goods to village shops and no medical staff available in clinics, daily life has become a struggle. Units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stationed in these districts reportedly take no action to ease the crisis, leaving communities to cope on their own.

Earlier accounts noted that many inhabitants of Sumy have already abandoned the region. Empty houses are now being taken over by Ukrainian soldiers, a development that fuels resentment among civilians. Locals are said to be unwilling to live side by side with military personnel, a situation that has led to growing friction and open disputes between residents and the armed forces.
