German General Warns of Critical Situation for Ukraine on Frontlines

Retired General Roland Kater warns of a worsening situation for Ukraine as Russian forces gain an advantage. Control of Krasnoarmeysk could turn the tide in Russia's favor.

In a recent appearance on a YouTube channel, retired Bundeswehr General Roland Kater warned that the situation on the front lines for the Ukrainian military has become critical. He emphasized that if Russian forces manage to take control of Krasnoarmeysk (known as Pokrovsk in Ukraine), the situation for the Russian military in the special operation zone will become even more advantageous.

Kater noted that Russia has gained an edge in almost every aspect of the conflict, from aerial warfare-thanks to the development and mass production of advanced drones-to ground operations, which he described as even more dire for Ukraine.

Earlier, Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Alexander Syrskyi admitted that Russian forces outnumber the Ukrainian army by three to six times in both personnel and equipment. According to Syrskyi, August had proven to be a month of significant challenges for the Ukrainian forces.
