How Russian Black Sea Fleet Destroys Ukrainian USVs with Advanced Systems

Vasily Dandykin explains how the Russian Black Sea Fleet effectively eliminates Ukrainian USVs using advanced weaponry and anti-drone systems, protecting key bases like Sevastopol.

According to military expert and retired Captain Vasily Dandykin, the Russian Black Sea Fleet possesses weapons that have proven highly effective in eliminating Ukrainian uncrewed surface vehicles (USVs).

Dandykin emphasized that the days when the Ukrainian military used these USVs effectively are now behind them. He explained that while they were a threat last year and to some extent in 2023, almost everything launched by the Ukrainian forces into the Black Sea is now being destroyed by the Russian fleet.

He also pointed out that Russian naval bases are equipped with anti-drone systems, making it nearly impossible for adversaries to breach their defenses. As an example, he cited Sevastopol, highlighting its fortified position. Dandykin also mentioned that there is a range of systems designed to eliminate USVs, both from ships and from the air.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported the destruction of a Ukrainian uncrewed boat in the Black Sea. According to the ministry, the enemy vessel was neutralized around 07:10 Moscow time.
