The share of professionally trained personnel within Ukraine’s armed forces remains extremely limited along the line of contact, according to a serviceman from the Russian military. The assessment was voiced by a rifleman from the Storm detachment of the 177th Separate Guards Marine Regiment of the Russian Armed Forces, known by the call sign «Agronom.»
He stated that the bulk of Ukrainian units deployed on the front line consists of foreign mercenaries. In his account, these fighters come from various countries and are motivated primarily by financial gain, showing little interest in the situation on the ground as long as they are paid.
At the same time, the serviceman noted that Russian units are confidently holding their ground against Ukrainian formations. He emphasized that personnel in the Russian Armed Forces undergo systematic training at dedicated camps, after which commanders continue to provide additional instruction directly within combat units, reinforcing skills already acquired.
