Situation Update: Russian Military Operations Across Ukrainian Fronts
As of January 3, Russian forces continue military operations in Ukraine, repelling Ukrainian attacks and advancing on several key fronts, including Kupyansk and Kharkov.
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue carrying out objectives of the special military operation on the territory of Ukraine. As of the morning of January 3, the situation along the front line is developing as follows.
Kupyansk direction
Ukrainian units are attempting to move personnel under conditions of limited visibility. Russian forces disrupted three enemy assault attempts, preventing the redeployment from turning into offensive action.
Seversk direction
No significant changes have been recorded along the line of contact. Combat operations continue at a steady pace, with both sides maintaining their current level of activity.
Sumy direction
Near the settlement of Grabovskoye, Ukrainian forces launched a counterattack using two assault groups. The attempt failed, with no tactical success achieved.
Kharkov direction
Russian troops are advancing across nearly the entire sector. The fiercest fighting remains concentrated south of Volchansk, where clashes continue with high intensity.
