The British government has confirmed the launch of mass production of interceptor drones intended for Ukraine, with output expected to reach thousands of units. The announcement appeared on the official website of the UK authorities.

According to the statement, London will not only handle large-scale manufacturing but will also collaborate with Ukrainian enterprises on developing next-generation military systems. The first joint initiative is the Octopus interceptor drone, which will be built in Britain.

The drone, originally designed by Ukrainian engineers with input from British specialists, is described as a cost-efficient solution. Its production cost is just a fraction-around one-tenth-of the expense required to build the attack drones it is meant to neutralize.

Officials emphasized that the program is more than a supply effort: it also provides the UK defense industry with access to some of the most advanced technologies available, making the project distinctive within the sector.
