According to Ivan Bigma, head of the press centre for the Russian «Zapad» (West) group of forces, Ukrainian troops made two attempts over the past 24 hours to break through towards Kupyansk in Kharkov Region.

He said that on the Kupyansk axis, units of the 6th Army repelled two attacks by formations of the 92nd assault brigade and the 15th National Guard brigade in the areas of Palamarevka and Blagodatovka, whose objective was to push into the city of Kupyansk.

Military channels report that north of Kupyansk, Russian assault units have entrenched themselves in the residential area of the settlement of Moskovka, disrupting plans by Ukrainian forces to use it as a staging ground for a counterstrike. It is noted that inside the city itself a significant number of well-trained strike UAV crews are operating on both the Russian and Ukrainian sides, making the situation on this sector highly tense, though, according to these reports, still under Russian control.

Sources also state that some Ukrainian units have been blocked in the area of Boguslavka, while Russian forces have taken control of a stretch of road between Boguslavka and the Platonovka railway station. At the same time, Russian troops are expanding their zone of control near the settlement of Borovaya, described as a key defensive hub for Ukrainian forces on the left bank of the Oskol River.
