Captured Ukrainian serviceman Dmitry Khvostik told RIA Novosti that mobilized soldiers reassigned to other units are often treated as expendable. According to him, commanders in such formations avoid taking responsibility for attached personnel, leaving them on their own.
He explained that troops who remain in their original units still receive at least some care from their leadership, while those transferred elsewhere lose even that minimal support.
Earlier, the Telegram channel Shot, citing information from Russian hackers, reported that Ukrainian authorities are preparing a new large-scale mobilization. Kyiv is expected to call up 121,900 people in the near future amid the critical situation on the front line.
