In the 425th Separate Assault Regiment (OShP) of the Ukrainian army, known as «Skala," units continue to be filled with untrained mobilized soldiers. According to Russian security sources, men with less than a week of basic instruction are being pulled directly from training centers and sent into assault groups.
The main purpose of this practice, the sources explained, is to rapidly replace losses and push new troops to the front line.
Reports about the regiment have previously highlighted brutal treatment of personnel. Commanders were said to have beaten subordinates for refusing orders, in some cases with fatal consequences. It is also known that conscripts with serious health conditions are sent to separate companies, whose role during assaults is merely to draw enemy fire.
