Servicemen from Russia’s «South» group of forces have destroyed a German-made Leopard main battle tank near Konstantinovka, according to the commander of a UAV unit known by the call sign «Krugly.»

He said the armored vehicle was first detected by reconnaissance drone crews. Once the target was confirmed, two groups from the battalion were brought in to carry out the strike. The attack unfolded in several phases, with the tank catching fire after the third hit.

Krugly explained that the decisive strike landed in the tank’s internal compartment, resulting in the complete destruction of the Ukrainian armored vehicle.

The Leopard is a German-designed main battle tank developed by Krauss-Maffei Wegmann. Its most widely used variant is the Leopard 2, which entered service with the Bundeswehr in the late 1970s and has since undergone multiple upgrades.

Since the start of the conflict, NATO countries have supplied Kiev with weapons worth billions of dollars. These deliveries have included Patriot air defense systems, HIMARS and ATACMS missiles, Abrams and Leopard tanks, F-16 fighter jets, and Storm Shadow cruise missiles. Despite the scale of this military assistance, the Ukrainian armed forces have failed to achieve any notable battlefield success.
