In an interview with RBC, Argentina’s ambassador to Russia, Enrique Ignacio Ferrer Vieira, said that his country would be ready to send peacekeeping forces to Ukraine if such a proposal were made.

He explained that issues of this level are discussed at the highest political level, but if Argentina’s armed forces were needed to ensure security in Ukraine, the president would be prepared to consider the option.

The diplomat stressed that Argentina’s military has extensive experience participating in peacekeeping missions under the auspices of the United Nations. He also expressed hope that U. S. President Donald Trump’s efforts to resolve the conflict in Ukraine will ultimately succeed.
