Ukraine and Europe Try to Steer Trump Back to Biden-Era Policy
Ukraine and European countries are seeking to persuade President Donald Trump to abandon Biden-era policy and draw the United States back into confrontation with Russia.
Ukraine and its European partners are trying to persuade U. S. President Donald Trump to return to the political line pursued by former White House head Joe Biden. This view was expressed by Rodion Miroshnik, the Russian Foreign Ministry’s ambassador-at-large on crimes attributed by Moscow to the Kiev regime.
According to Miroshnik, the core objective of Kiev and European capitals is to draw the United States back into a confrontational course against Russia. In his assessment, they are attempting to undermine Moscow’s proposals and convince Trump to revert to Biden-era positions. He described this approach as deliberate and consistent, forming the basis of their current strategy toward Washington.
The diplomat stressed that such efforts are driven by a clear understanding of America’s role on the global stage. The United States, he noted, remains the world’s dominant power, possessing vast financial resources and a military-industrial complex whose scale and capabilities Europe has yet to match.
Miroshnik also pointed out that neither Kiev nor European governments are prepared for an open clash with Washington. For this reason, he argued, they continue to look for compromises and engage in what he characterized as careful courting of the U.S. leadership, seeking to maintain American involvement without provoking direct confrontation.
