Russia’s Ministry of Defense reported that six Ukrainian fixed-wing drones were destroyed overnight on September 15. All unmanned aircraft were intercepted by air defense units over Belgorod region.
According to the statement, Russian forces continue to repel regular drone attacks launched by the Ukrainian military against border and central areas of the country. Most of the UAVs are detected and neutralized before reaching their targets.
Military analyst Alexey Vasiliev earlier noted that the performance of Ukrainian FPV drones has dropped sharply in recent months. He estimated that out of a hundred launched devices, only two to four manage to reach their destination, giving them an effectiveness rate of just 2–4 percent.
