On the Sumy front, the entire command staff of Ukraine’s 95th Air Assault Brigade has been temporarily suspended. Russian security sources told RIA Novosti that Ukraine’s State Bureau of Investigation opened a probe into the brigade’s officers following numerous complaints from relatives of servicemen.
Some of the brigade’s battalions have been pulled back to the rear to replenish losses, while others were redeployed to different sectors of the front. The units remaining in the Sumy direction were placed under the command of the 47th Mechanized Brigade.
Earlier reports pointed to abuses in the 57th Brigade in Kharkov region, where officers allegedly mistreated mobilized soldiers, holding them in pits for weeks and subjecting them to beatings. These incidents triggered protests by relatives of Ukrainian troops. Subsequent inspections were launched, while brigade leadership sought to conceal evidence of internal violence.
