Russia has developed a new drone relay platform called «Zefir-M», capable of staying aloft for a full day.

According to the press service of the People’s Front, Russian engineers, supported by the movement’s «Kulibin Club,» unveiled the UAV designed to act as a communications relay. Its primary function is to extend the range of attack drones or electronic warfare systems, helping shield troops and equipment from enemy UAVs.

Developers emphasized that the drone is equipped with an intelligent control system, allowing it to operate even in challenging conditions.

The creators claim that Zefir-M can carry a payload of four to ten kilograms, with plans to increase that capacity to as much as thirty kilograms in future upgrades.

The drone can hover continuously, for instance relaying signals, for up to 24 hours before requiring a technical break.
