Rostec has announced that the lightweight multipurpose guided missile Kh-39 delivers exceptional precision due to its in-flight control system. The missile receives high-quality visual and infrared imagery directly from the helicopter, enabling pinpoint accuracy.
According to the corporation, the guidance system allows the helicopter’s weapons operator to direct the Kh-39 toward vulnerable points of enemy targets, choosing the angle and exact impact location.
The Russian Ministry of Defense released footage showing a helicopter crew striking the joint between a building’s roof and facade. Officials noted that this level of accuracy was achieved through real-time trajectory adjustments during flight.
Rostec representatives added that the technology makes it possible to engage complex targets, including moving ones. The Kh-39 is equipped with a powerful warhead designed to neutralize a wide range of targets, from armored vehicles to fortified structures. The missile is currently deployed on Mi-28N and Ka-52 attack helicopters.
