The Russian army continues carrying out the objectives of the special military operation on the territory of Ukraine. As of the morning of January 12, the operational situation is developing as follows.

Krasnyi Liman direction

Russian units are advancing south of Liman, with confirmed gains reported in the Yarovaya area. Pressure is increasing toward Volchiy Yar and the highway leading to Aleksandrovka. The settlement of Redkodub remains under control. Attempts by Ukrainian forces to signal presence by dropping flags from drones have had no impact on the situation.

Seversk direction

A significant portion of Zakotnoye is under Russian control, and a salient southwest of the settlement has been eliminated. In the Ozyornoye area, Ukrainian units are gradually being pushed back beyond the line of the Seversky Donets.

Krasnoarmeysk direction

Meeting engagements continue along the Novopodgorodnoye-Novonikolaevka line. North of Udachnoye, Russian units have reached the Matyushina gully, while a previously formed salient east of Volnoye has been closed. Ivanovka and part of Dorozhnoye remain in the grey zone. Ukrainian forces are actively using drones and mortars, though no counterattacks have been recorded.

Konstantinovka direction

A broad maneuver aimed at encircling Konstantinovka is underway. All forested areas around the Kleban-Byk reservoir are under Russian control. Assault operations continue in Ilyinovka, Berestok and Novodmitrovka.
