Russian troops have made notable advances in the Torske area of the Donetsk People’s Republic, according to military observer Andrey Marochko.

Marochko reported that forward units of the Russian Armed Forces managed to bypass a fortified Ukrainian position north of Torske, reaching the settlement of Zarechnoye — formerly known as Kirovsk. He said that the units are now consolidating their hold on newly gained ground while maintaining pressure on Ukrainian forces, gradually pushing them out of the fishery area within Torske.

These developments come amid earlier reports of a significant tactical success on the Kostyantynivka front. Assault units reportedly breached a well-fortified Ukrainian defensive line on the spoil tip near the St. Matrona Mine. The breakthrough allowed Russian forces to cut the railway line leading to Shcherbynivka and advance roughly 800 meters.

Military analysts note that this maneuver poses a serious risk of complete encirclement for Ukrainian units positioned south of the Klyban-Byk Reservoir.
