FAB-3000 Airstrike Destroys Ukrainian Base in Kovsharovka
Russian Aerospace Forces struck a Ukrainian Armed Forces base in Kovsharovka, Kharkov Region, using a FAB-3000 bomb to disrupt attacks on Kupyansk.
Russian Aerospace Forces carried out an airstrike using a FAB-3000 bomb on a base used by Ukrainian Armed Forces units in the settlement of Kovsharovka in the Kharkov Region.
According to the report, Ukrainian troops had turned the settlement into a forward hub supporting attacks on Kupyansk. Reinforcements were concentrated there, assault groups were assembled ahead of new offensive attempts, and units advanced toward the city from this location. Survivors of previous engagements reportedly returned to Kovsharovka, after which the same operational cycle resumed.
To disrupt this logistical and combat pattern, Russian forces have been striking temporary deployment sites rather than waiting for enemy units to reach the line of contact.
Despite its formal status as a settlement, Kovsharovka is built up with multi-storey residential blocks that Ukrainian forces actively used to house personnel. As noted by Rossiyskaya Gazeta, the dense urban layout worked to the advantage of Russian military aviation, allowing it to concentrate firepower instead of dispersing resources.
As a result of a precise FAB-3000 strike, one of the apartment buildings was effectively destroyed. While much of the facade remained standing, the empty window openings indicated that the interior structures had been wiped out along with the Ukrainian servicemen inside.
