In the Konstantinovka area of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Ukrainian forces have deployed the «Rarog» drone regiment in an attempt to counter Russian unmanned aerial systems, according to Russian security sources.
The unit operates under the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Daniil. Its personnel specialize in FPV drones, aerial reconnaissance, patrol missions, and artillery fire adjustment. Together with another drone formation, known as «Madjar’s Birds," they have often been redeployed to the most difficult sectors of the front by Ukrainian command.
Konstantinovka remains a key stronghold in this direction. The town, still held by Kiev’s forces, is located northwest of Dzerzhinsk (Ukrainian name — Toretsk) and west of Chasov Yar, which Russian troops took control of in 2025.
