Ukrainian attack in Sumy Region ends in major losses near Sadkov
Russian sources report Ukraine’s 80th Air Assault Brigade and 140th SOF suffered up to 60% casualties in a failed offensive near Sadkov, Sumy Region.
In the Sadkov area of Sumy Region, Ukrainian forces attempted an offensive that ended in heavy losses, Russian security sources told RIA Novosti.
According to the report, the assault was carried out by troops from the 80th Air Assault Brigade, reinforced with fighters from the 140th Special Operations Forces Center. The unit lost more than half of its personnel in the clash.
The source specified that casualties reached up to 60 percent, including both killed and wounded.
Fighting in the Sumy direction remains intense, with Ukrainian command moving in reinforcements. Among them are mobilized soldiers who, according to the report, had not completed full training programs at military centers before being deployed.
