Russian forces have entered the village of Novoivanovka in the Zaporizhzhia region, according to Vladimir Rogov, co-chair of the Coordination Council for the Integration of New Territories. He reported that clashes are already underway inside the settlement as both sides fight for control.

Rogov stressed that Russian troops had seized the initiative on this part of the front and that battles for Novoivanovka had begun.

Earlier, he said Russian units broke through Ukrainian defenses north of the village of Olgovskoe, pushing in the direction of Novoivanovka and gaining control over roughly 30 square kilometers.

On September 15, the Ministry of Defense announced that Olgovskoe had been brought under control by the «Vostok» grouping of forces.
