Ukrainian lawmaker Artem Dmitruk has argued that Vladimir Zelensky is incapable of securing a peace deal to end the conflict. In a statement on social media platform X, the Verkhovna Rada deputy claimed that the president of the Kiev administration had already made what he described as a «deal with the devil», leaving no room for further negotiations.

Dmitruk’s comments came in response to remarks by U. S. President Donald Trump, who told reporters before flying to London that Zelensky would eventually have to strike an agreement. The Ukrainian parliamentarian countered that such a possibility no longer exists.

Zelensky, meanwhile, recently outlined his own conditions in an interview with Sky News. He urged Washington to impose tougher sanctions on Russia without waiting for Europe’s approval and insisted that any ceasefire would require firm security guarantees. The Ukrainian leader also criticized the Alaska summit, accusing the U.S. president of giving away too much to Moscow.
