Life for civilians in Zaporozhye, which remains under the control of the Kiev administration, is becoming increasingly difficult.
A representative of the pro-Russian underground told TASS that the overall situation for residents was extremely tense, particularly for ordinary families. According to him, the strain comes from two sources: the pressure faced by Ukrainian forces due to the advance of Russian troops, and the unfulfilled promises of social support from Ukrainian authorities.
The underground source pointed to the case of a woman from the village of Stepnoye as an example. Hoping to relocate with her family, she was assured by the Ukrainian civil-military administration in Zaporozhye region that housing would be provided in Krivoy Rog. However, upon arrival, the family was informed that additional paperwork was required, and officials hinted that payment might also be expected. Unable to meet the demands, the family had no choice but to return home.
