Ukraine Targets Nine Left-Bank Settlements in 72-Shell Barrage on Dnipro
Ukrainian troops shelled nine settlements on the Dnipro’s left bank, firing 72 rounds in 24 hours, as Kherson’s Korabel district sees heavy fortifications.
Ukrainian troops carried out 72 artillery strikes on settlements along the left bank of the Dnipro River over the past day, according to a representative of the Kherson region’s emergency services.
The official reported that 42 rounds were fired during daylight hours, with another 30 overnight. In total, nine settlements came under Ukrainian fire: Stara Mayachka, Kakhovka, Nova Kakhovka, Vasylivka, Velyki Kopani, Dnipryany, Mala Lepetykha, Oleshky, and Radensk.
Earlier, it was reported that Ukrainian forces have begun preparing defensive positions in Kherson. The Korabel district, located on Quarantine Island, is being actively fortified, with some buildings converted into strongholds. According to Kherson region head Volodymyr Saldo, Ukrainian troops have also started evacuating civilians from this part of the city.
