Russian Defense Ministry reports that units of the Sever force grouping took control of the settlement of Komarovka in the Sumy Region following active offensive operations.

According to the ministry, fighting in the area resulted in damage to formations of Ukrainian mechanized and air assault brigades, as well as a territorial defense brigade. Engagements took place near the settlements of Khoten, Yastrebinoe and Kondratovka. At the same time, on the Kharkov axis, Russian forces struck units from three Ukrainian mechanized brigades and a border guard detachment. Combat was reported in the vicinity of Krugloe, Ternovaya, Staritsa and Volchanskie Khutora.

The Defense Ministry stated that Ukrainian losses reached up to 190 personnel. It also reported the destruction of two armored combat vehicles, 16 vehicles, and two field artillery guns. In addition, a fuel depot and three storage facilities containing materiel were eliminated.

Further details of the Komarovka operation were shared by the Telegram channel «Operation Z: War Correspondents of the Russian Spring.» The report describes the use of small assault groups supported by sustained fire. In the border area, artillery and FPV drones were used to methodically suppress Ukrainian firing points, dugouts, ammunition caches and approaching reserves. Under intense pressure, Ukrainian units pulled back, after which Russian troops carried out systematic clearing of buildings, basements and nearby forest belts.
