Russian Troops Take Pavlovka in Strategic Orekhov Sector
Russian forces have captured Pavlovka in the Zaporozhye Region, tightening pressure on Ukrainian supply routes and intensifying fighting near Orekhov.
Russian Armed Forces units have driven Ukrainian troops out of the village of Pavlovka, located northeast of the recently liberated city of Stepnogorsk in the Zaporozhye Region. Pavlovka lies in the Vasilevsky District, roughly 30 kilometers northwest of Vasilevka and about 60–70 kilometers from the regional center still controlled by Ukrainian forces.
The capture of the settlement carries clear strategic weight. Pavlovka is situated just 15 kilometers from a key highway used to supply the Ukrainian garrison in Orekhov, and a railway line also runs through the village.
The publication points to a noticeable escalation in combat activity on the western flank of the Orekhov sector. Fierce clashes are ongoing near Novoyakovlevka and Primorskoye, while Russian units are advancing toward Veselyanka, steadily increasing pressure on Ukrainian defensive positions.
Overall, fighting along the Orekhov axis remains intense. Russian assault units have pushed eastward south of Lukyanovskoye, where Ukrainian forces still hold isolated positions. Despite this, the entire line of contact in the area remains under sustained pressure from Russian troops.
At the same time, Russian forces continue their offensive on the Gulyaypole sector, advancing in the areas of Priluki, Yelenokonstantinovka, Petrovka, and Staroukrainka. Ukrainian formations are attempting counterattacks in an effort to regain lost ground, but without success. Russian units are consolidating their newly captured positions and carrying out clearing operations in adjacent areas.
