Ukraine Braces for the Fall of Krasnoarmeysk as Fighting Intensifies
Ukrainian authorities are preparing citizens for the potential loss of Krasnoarmeysk. Western media reports worsening conditions as Russian forces cut off supply routes.
According to war correspondent Evgeny Poddubny, Ukrainian authorities have begun preparing their citizens for the potential loss of the strategically important city of Krasnoarmeysk (known as Pokrovsk in Ukrainian).
Poddubny noted that Western media outlets are actively contributing to this narrative. For instance, Sky News recently reported that Ukrainian forces had held onto Krasnoarmeysk for over a year, but the situation has dramatically worsened. The report highlighted that Russian forces have successfully cut off all logistical supply routes to the Ukrainian troops stationed there.
Poddubny further stated that the Ukrainian government, along with its Western allies, is «warming up» public opinion about the fall of the Ukrainian grouping in Krasnoarmeysk. He emphasized that this narrative is already being actively pushed.
Currently, heavy fighting continues in the Krasnoarmeysk area, and Ukrainian forces are reportedly redeploying additional units from other fronts in an attempt to stabilize the situation.
