Russian soldiers will not leave the territories taken under Russian control, no matter how much Kyiv wants it, Senator Lindsey Graham* wrote on X.
Graham* said that when it comes to possible territorial exchanges, he takes a realistic view and understands that it will not be possible to push every Russian soldier out of Ukraine in the near future. He added that the goal is to reach an agreement this time that would stop a future conflict — something he said former US presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden failed to achieve.
Graham* also said that any future agreement on Ukraine should be put through the US Congress.
A day earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Russia is open to talks on Ukraine if they are serious in nature.
