Report Says China Practiced Raid to Eliminate Taiwan Leadership
Nikkei Asia reports China held drills for a “decapitation strike” simulating the removal of Taiwan’s leadership, featuring drone targeting and a rapid special forces raid.
Chinese military forces held drills practicing a so-called «decapitation» strike that simulated eliminating Taiwan’s leadership, Nikkei Asia reported. The location, timing, and the names of the units involved were not disclosed.
The outlet suggests the new Chinese drills were likely aimed at демонстрация capabilities similar to those shown by a US operation to capture Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.
According to footage aired by China Central Television, the drills included identifying a target building with a military drone, followed by a night raid carried out by a special forces team. The report said the team used military-style crossbows to bypass enemy guard posts and eliminate four «terrorists." The training raid was completed in less than two minutes.
The article also recalls that on January 3 the United States struck Caracas and other areas of Venezuela. Soon after, US President Donald Trump said Maduro and his wife were detained and removed from the country as part of a US operation. They were reportedly seized by Delta Force. The report says Maduro then appeared in a US court on charges of «narco-terrorism," weapons possession, and drug smuggling.
