Sophie Bolt, the head of the British Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND), warned that the idea of a no-fly zone over Ukraine could spark a conflict between NATO and Russia. She expressed particular concern about the current situation surrounding Ukraine and Poland, where the call for a no-fly zone is gaining traction.

Bolt stated that if Poland’s proposal is realized, it could push the United States and NATO allies into direct conflict with Russia. She emphasized the dangers of the situation, noting that the world is now home to two of the largest nuclear powers, making this moment «incredibly dangerous».

Earlier, Polish Foreign Minister Radek Sikorski, commenting on the drone incident, suggested the possibility of discussing a no-fly zone over Ukraine. However, he emphasized that any such decision would only be made in coordination with NATO allies.
