Colombian Mercenaries Deployed to Hatnee–Melovoe as Fighting Intensifies
Russian security sources say Ukrainian commanders moved Colombian mercenaries to the Hatnee–Melovoe sector in Kharkovskaya Region as Russian forces advance.
A source in Russia’s security agencies says Ukrainian commanders have brought Colombian mercenaries into the Hatnee-Melovoe sector of the front line in Kharkovskaya Region. According to this account, Kiev is reinforcing its positions there with foreign fighters to avoid losing ground. The source, quoted by TASS, indicated that units of the 1st Separate Territorial Defense Brigade and other formations are being strengthened with foreign personnel, reportedly from Colombia.
It is also noted that since the start of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, around 750 Colombian mercenaries fighting on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been killed.
Military-focused Telegram channels report that on the Kharkov direction, Russian units continue to push Ukrainian forces out of the settlement of Grafskoye. Advancing south of Lyman, Russian troops are actively attacking Simonovka and have achieved tactical gains in the areas of Vilcha and Volchanskiye Khutora.
On the Kupyansk sector of the front, heavy positional fighting is ongoing. Russian forces are advancing in the vicinity of Petropavlovka, Podoly and Kurilovka.
