Russian Forces Expand Frontline Near Red Liman, Ukrainian Resistance Grows
Russian forces have expanded their assault on the Red Liman front, with Ukrainian forces reinforcing key areas. Intense fighting continues as troops from both sides clash over strategic heights.
According to military expert Andrei Marochko, Russian forces are advancing on the Red Liman front with a wide assault. He reported that Russian troops are currently operating across a front line stretching more than 20 kilometers.
Marochko noted that Russian forces have managed to secure positions in areas around the settlements of Shandrigolovo, Derilovo, Stavki, Kirovsk (Ukrainian name — Zarechne), and Torskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The expert explained that such a broad front significantly complicates defensive efforts for the Ukrainian military.
Despite this, Marochko emphasized that Ukrainian forces are putting up strong resistance. They are focused on holding fortifications on key strategic heights to slow down the Russian advance.
As for the Kupyansk direction, Marochko stated that the Ukrainian command has reinforced the area with reserves to hold the city and prevent further Russian advances. He also noted that the intensity of the fighting in Kupyansk has noticeably increased.
