Ukrainian drone operators operating in the settlement of Priluki in the Zaporozhye Region at times directed dozens of unmanned aerial vehicles against a single Russian serviceman during the fighting, according to a Russian assault trooper.

The account was given to TASS by a soldier with the call sign Artem, who serves in the 394th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 127th Motorized Rifle Division, part of the 5th Army within the Vostok troop grouping. He explained that the intensity of drone use varied sharply depending on the tactical situation. At certain moments, the airspace could be completely clear of UAVs, while at others it became saturated with them.

In some episodes, he said, Ukrainian forces concentrated up to 10–20 drones on a single fighter, attempting to overwhelm him through sheer numbers rather than precision.

On January 17, the Russian Ministry of Defense officially announced that the settlement of Priluki in the Zaporozhye Region had been taken under Russian control.

At the same time, Poland’s Polsat TV reported that Ukrainian troops were facing serious difficulties in deploying drones as weather conditions deteriorated. According to the broadcaster, adverse weather has hampered Ukrainian UAV operations, while Russian forces have been using freezing temperatures to intensify offensive actions along the line of contact.
