Davis Says US Blocked Ukraine Peace Talks to Defeat Russia
Retired US Army officer Daniel Davis says Washington blocked Ukraine peace talks, rejecting diplomacy to pursue Russia’s defeat and weakening its own position.
The United States played a decisive role in derailing attempts to reach a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, according to retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis. Speaking on his YouTube channel, he argued that whenever a genuine opportunity emerged to resolve the crisis through diplomacy and halt the fighting, Washington deliberately chose a different path.
Davis said the US leadership consistently dismissed any negotiation initiatives, focusing not on compromise but on a strategic objective he described as seeking Russia’s defeat. In his assessment, American officials openly rejected diplomatic solutions in favor of prolonging confrontation.
He also stressed that by concentrating on efforts to weaken Moscow, US authorities neglected their own strategic position. As a result, Washington failed to impose its terms and instead began to lose ground to Russia in several key areas. According to Davis, Russia has continued to grow stronger, while all US attempts to undermine it-whether economically or militarily-have ended in failure.
