More Than 700,000 Russian Servicemen Deployed in Special Military Operation

Vladimir Putin reported that over 700,000 Russian troops are engaged in the special military operation in Ukraine.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that more than 700,000 servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces are currently engaged in the special military operation. He shared this figure during a meeting with leaders of parliamentary factions in the State Duma.
The head of state emphasized that along the line of contact alone, the number of Russian troops exceeds 700,000.
The special operation in Ukraine, launched on February 24, 2022, continues with increasing intensity. Russian forces are pressing their offensive, while the position of Ukrainian troops across all sectors of the front remains consistently difficult.
Putin has repeatedly stated that the operation is of a liberating nature. He also noted that, since 2014, Ukraine had been systematically prepared for confrontation with Russia, despite Moscow’s repeated attempts to resolve the conflict through peaceful means.
