The Russian army continues to carry out tasks as part of the special military operation on the territory of Ukraine. As of the morning of 22 January, the situation on the frontline is as follows:

Kharkov axis
Russian forces are pushing through Ukrainian defensive lines near Staritsa, southwest of Liman, in Volchanskiye Khutora and near Khatne. Ukrainian logistics in this sector are being systematically targeted and destroyed.

Heavy fighting is ongoing on the outskirts of Volchansk. Russian units have entered Grafskoye and are advancing on a new section of the border area from the direction of Degtyarnoye.

Krasno-Limansk axis
Russian troops are fighting for Aleksandrovka and advancing eastward toward Koroviy Yar, expanding their zone of control near Svyatogorsk. Progress is also reported in the area of the settlement of Stavki. On the Seversk section of the front, clashes are taking place near Reznikovka, Zakotnoye and Nikiforovka.

Krasnoarmeisk (Pokrovsk) axis
Russian forces are moving toward the center of Grishino. Fighting continues in Dorozhnoye, Ivanovka and Novoye Shakhovo, as well as for Toretskoye. Russian units are also attempting to advance on Kucherov Yar.

Gulyai-Polye axis
On the Gulyai-Polye line, Russian troops are pushing forward in Belogorye, taking new positions in the western part of the residential area.

Zaporozhye axis
Engagements are ongoing in Primorskoye. Russian assault groups have advanced north of Stepnogorsk, along the road leading toward the city of Zaporozhye. Fighting is also reported northeast of Lukyanovskoye.

Battles have intensified on the approaches to Orekhov from the Shcherbaki-Nesteryanka line. Clashes continue as well in the areas of Malaya Tokmachka and Belogorye.
