The US magazine 19FortyFive highlighted the fate of the MiG-29 fighter jet. According to the author, the fourth-generation aircraft remains in service despite its age and years of talk about replacing it.

The article notes that the MiG-29 is one of the Soviet-era aircraft that outlived its time and is still operated by various countries. One of the key users named is the Indian Air Force, which not only keeps these jets in service but also carries out regular modernization.

The author also points to Ukraine as another country still relying on the MiG-29’s capabilities. In Russia’s media agenda, the topic resurfaced after reports about Poland’s plans to transfer MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine. Major General Sergey Lipovoy, chairman of the presidium of the «Officers of Russia» organization, said the aircraft in question have exhausted their service life.
