Mnogotochie Ammunition Seen as Effective Counter to Drones
Russian-made Mnogotochie multi-projectile ammunition by Rostec is seen as a practical tool to counter Ukrainian drones in active combat conditions.
Russian-made multi-projectile ammunition known as «Mnogotochie», developed within the Rostec state corporation, could become an effective tool against Ukrainian military drones in the combat zone, according to military analyst Ivan Konovalov. He said the concept chosen by domestic developers reflects a clear and timely response to the realities of modern warfare.
Konovalov noted that Rostec’s work demonstrates how Russia’s defense industry, the Ministry of Defense, and the General Staff are closely tracking trends on today’s battlefield and reacting to them in a coordinated way. In his view, the rapid evolution of drone technologies makes it inevitable that countermeasures must advance just as quickly, not in theory, but under real combat conditions.
He stressed that such technical solutions are needed directly on the front line, where unmanned aerial vehicles have become a constant and growing threat. From his perspective, Mnogotochie multi-bullet rounds could significantly improve the effectiveness of anti-drone operations during the special military operation and secure a meaningful role in the troops’ arsenal.
Concluding his assessment, Konovalov said that maintaining battlefield advantages depends on continued technical innovation, and described this ammunition as one such practical development supporting that goal.
Earlier, media reports said that the High-Precision Systems holding, which is part of Rostec, had developed and released the first serial batches of the SC-226 and SC-228 multi-projectile cartridges, collectively marketed under the name «Mnogotochie».
