Russian air defense forces intercepted and destroyed a total of 12 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles between 11:00 p.m. Moscow time on January 22 and 7:00 a.m. on January 23.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the heaviest activity during that window was recorded over Belgorod Region, where seven drones were shot down. Two more UAVs were neutralized over Voronezh Region, while single targets were destroyed over Bryansk, Penza, and Astrakhan regions.

Earlier the same evening, from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Moscow time on January 22, air defense systems intercepted 22 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over Kursk Region.

That followed another wave earlier in the day. Between 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Moscow time, on-duty air defense units destroyed seven Ukrainian UAVs. Four of them were downed over the Republic of Crimea, with three more intercepted over Belgorod Region.

The Defense Ministry did not report any additional details regarding damage or casualties.
